Make My Wish Come True
by Rachael Lippincott, Alyson Derrick
~~Thank you to Edelweiss and Simon & Schuster for the ARC!~~
I cannot remember the last time a book left me feeling all fuzzy and warm inside, like having a cup of hot coco on a quiet winter's night.
I cannot stress of how much I love that Lippincott and Derrick make such an amazing author duo. They create chemistry between their leads come alive, and the romance feels all so sweet and tender. Mind you, the romance is usually one aspect I don't care the most about, but here I was rooting so hard for Caroline and Arden.
What I really loved was how flawed they make both girls, too. Both had heavy conflicts within themselves as well with each other (Arden thinking she needed to keep her big Hollywood career, and Caroline feeling not Jewish enough), but the girls naturally bring the best out of each other and it's the cutest thing ever.
I've never been the biggest Hallmark Christmas movie enjoyer (Shout out to my mom, who owns, like, three Hallmark movie shirts), but the holiday joy in this book is so geniunely infectious. The dates are so adorable, and they way they put so much care into showing Hanukkah celebrations/traditions alongside the usual Christmas fare made my heart feel so full.
All in all, I have absolutely loved all the wives have put out into the world so far, and I plan to continue to do so with whatever they have coming next.
