Did this cross every box from my YA checklist? Yes. Did I guess the true outcome of the mystery about ⅓ of the way through? Yes. Did I still really enjoy it? Also yes. This is why I like to read YA - even when it is a bit predictable and cliche, it still manages to pull me in and have me flicking from one page to the next. Highly enjoyable! I’m looking forward to the sequel.
