Ropa sees the dead and is paid to pass messages to those left behind. Living from job to job, she looks after her grandmother and younger sister. When she is asked to investigate the disappearance of children from the streets of Edinburgh she finds herself in danger.
Though I found myself enjoying the story by the end, it took a while to get going and there were lots of unexplained events/situations that meant the world built didn’t really make sense.
I’m hoping that we get more answers as the series progresses; I’m guessing that some of the events set in motion will continue to cause issues.
