How to Party with an Infant by Kaui Hart Hemmings

4.0

Hemmings is one of my favorite current authors. Even when there are things that I don't love about the plot or characters in her stories, I like her writing so much that I can't stop reading. I thought the way that this story was framed as a cookbook competition entry was interesting, and it worked well as a way to get to know the characters. The switches between first and third person threw me a little, but they weren't as distracting as I would've expected. If you don't mind books where the protagonists are flawed and not always likable, I would recommend this book.
