I like all of Sarah's books, I find them to be intriguing and mysterious, and this one was no exception! There were parts of the novel that were a bit dry, like when Vera was explaining being with Lon and Charles, but the parts with Claire writing the story was interesting, and kept me wanting to read more. As I was reading, I felt sorry for Vera and Caroline as they both experienced many hardships during their lives. The ending is definitely something unexpected, and it left me in shock. Definitely a great book!
