I knew what i was getting myself into after reading the first book of the series, but i will freely admit that the second book takes all of the stepping stones from the first and vaults forward. Take away the grueling setup of book 1, add some additional action and more intrigue, and you have this one. Well written, really deep character development, and a solid (though sometimes very circumstantial) novel. Overall, its a very good read. If you have read the first book, the second is well worth your time.
