The Shards of Ophelia
by Nicole Platania
Sometimes a series can fall prey to the sophomore slump. This is absolutely not the case with The Shards of Ophelia! So much happens in this book, so much so that I did not want to put it down.
In book 2 we are back with one of my favorite found families. They have the perfect balance of love, banter, and the knowledge that they will do anything for each other. I love the expansion of the world that we get here. Nicole gives us character development, a plot that moves along, and a truly interesting world.
I laughed, I sobbed, I bit my nails with anxiety, I took a trip on a wild rollercoaster of emotions.
