This has always been my fave out of this quartet. I will admit, as I do not have that special bond with animals, the Immortals tends to be my least reread series of Tamora Pierce with The Lioness being my most reread. However, I love this book.
Now is this a 5-star book? to most maybe not, I can see that it is not perfect, however, a 5-star to me is a book I will read over and over again. This series I have read half a dozen times, thus earning my 5 stars. Additionally, I have an author bias, as Tamora Pierce is my favorite author.
