John Adams by David McCullough
4.0

The missing star here is because I found this book to be a bit of a slog to get through, though I think that was more because Adams' life was a bit dull (in spite of the incredible space he holds in US history), not necessarily because of McCullough skills as a writer. Regardless, I learned so much about him and his loving relationship with Abagail, as well as his on-again, off-again friendship with Thomas Jefferson, which I'm assuming was the whole point of reading it, right?
