Aristotle's touchstone of literary criticism is still insanely relevant today (of course, after doing a good deal of glossing over epoch-typical misogyny and generally icky remarks). It might have been a better use of my time if I had read more than two of the ancient Greek plays and epic poems that he references; nonetheless it was a lot more fun than I thought it would!
