A quick, interesting read. Not my first book on Norse mythology, so I knew many of the stories already. I still learned quite a few things. I would've liked this book more if it had been longer, and gone into more detail. Larrington moves rapidly from one tale to the next; the stories are not at all fleshed out. When this occurs with characters I'm not familiar with it makes it a chore to follow. Overall enjoyable. Great pictures.
