🎧THE UNCHARTED FLIGHT OF OLIVIA WEST by Sara Ackerman and narrated by Jennifer Robideau is a lighter historical fiction surrounding a real flight race to Hawaii in 1927!

Olivia has always been enamored with flying and with the door opened by a couple of intelligent men, she takes her opportunity to learn and show her mettle in a race from San Diego to Hawaii! It does not go smoothly in more ways than one.

60 years later, Wren is finding her footing after a heartbreak when she finds that she has inherited an acreage on the big Island. When she explores the property and finds a barn with possibilities and artifacts, she enlists help to restore more than just the objects she finds.

This felt like a lighter historical fiction story, which was nice for me right now! It was fun to follow behind Olivia and watch her defy the odds, and gravity, to find what she really wanted. I also enjoyed Wrens story, especially when she settled in and started working at the care home. That part really won me over.
