Lovvvvveeeed it!!! It is a perfect mix of horror, mysterious occult themes, friendship, family, and social commentary; there is even a drop of romance. I thought the writing was solid - nothing seemed too overly explained or under embellished. Such a unique way to comment on the self-absorbed and consumerist lifestyle of the rich, the plight of immigrants, the juxtaposition of the poor to rich, and the lengths people will go to to be famous.
I didn't love the protagonist until about 75% of the way into the book. I actually found most of the characters quite annoying; except for one lovely man.
However, overall, it was a great read that was very interesting and kept me interested till the end.
