Did not finish book. Stopped at 23%.

A country whose name ends in "stan" but whose citizens have Polish names was the first warning. But when the victim's sister begged the lead protagonist to solve the murder because "the police are baffled. Everyone's baffled Even the security chief, and he's supposed to be the best in the business but you're an artist and artists' brains are wired differently than the rest of us", that was the final death knell
