Invisible Girl by Lisa Jewell

4.0

It follows Saffyre Maddox suffering sexual harassment from a boy from her school that haunts her for years. Her uncle set her up for therapy sessions with a child psychologist whose supposed to heal her, but did not. Instead, she begins to get to know about his family, private lives and learn all about his darkest secrets.

On the other hand is Owen Pick, an educator whose quite pathetic when it comes to romantic relationships with women. He’s thirty-three, but have yet to have a committed relationship. Staying with his aunt since his parents got divorced, he leads a quiet, dull, and boring life. Nobody really wants to befriend him, and neighbours aren’t interested in getting to know him, until Saffyre Maddox disappearance and her possessions was found outside Owen’s window. Prior to that, he got suspended from work and accused for sexually harassing his students in a party he never want to go to in the first place.

Thrill and suspense is what this book is all about. But it lacks of something that I’m not sure how to put into words. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. Thank you for the satisfying ending!
