I don't know how i feel about this!!!
I felt very caught by the story and read it all in a few days of vacations, never wanting to put it down... yet I also have many complaints.... very torned !
- It's hard for me to enjoy stories where all the character despise each other, ESPECIALLY when you're supposed to believe that's a queer chosen family, it would of been such a good opportunity to portray alternative love and care but no they hate each other
- Same goes for good parenting, it was pretttty bad and you just kinda wanna save the kid so you're not rooting for them to thrive
- The BEST part of this was definitely the chapters from the kids' pov, incredibly well-written, engaging and funny, which is why you care for him the most!!! 
- Loved the added layer of ecoterrorism and political comments very well done
