The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

3.0

Lacked a bit of intrigue for me

This was a fun story! A woman makes a deal with the dark and ends up being forgotten by everyone she ever loves. Determined to never give up, she spends the next 300 years being forgotten by people until she meets Henry, a man who also made a deal with the dark.

While it was a good story, the back and forth time periods made the story difficult to listen to. I had to rewind up to 30 minutes at a time to understand. This is definitely the type of book you need to be invested in 110% to get any sort of satisfaction. After I hunkered down, I was able to appreciate the flow of it.
