Lethal Rider by Larissa Ione

4.0

I felt so incredibly bad for Thanatos. He was left in a position by his very own family that kept him from living his life. Then he finds out the secret his family has been keeping from him since his, well, you have to call it what it is, imprisonment. I don't know how he got past what Limos and Ares did to him. Even with the best intentions. He was royally screwed over by his family, by the Aegis, and Regan. Now he is determined to deal with the betrayal. At least he now knows this agimortis is not what he thinks it is and he is free from the restraint he has put on himself for thousands of years.

I had a hard time really dealing with Regan's character. I was incredibly pissed at her. She starts to rethink what she did, sure. But she put herself in that position. Ugh, she just really irritated me. I can't believe it took her so long to realize what was going on around her and change her plans and ideas. I'm so glad that Thanatos at least fought her a little. He wanted that baby, despite it's purpose of conception. He wants a family and man, I just wanted him to have it.

When they all finally realize what Thanatos's agimortis is, I was devastated. How were they going to get things lined up so perfectly so it all happened when it was supposed to? It was intense and I was so scared for Thanatos, Regan and the baby.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Definitely not a fan of Regan, but by the end, I felt a little bit better about her.

Erin Bennett did a really good job at this narration. I was so excited by the story that I couldn't find a whole lot of fault in her presentation. She wasn't my favorite narrator from the series, but she did do a good job.
