Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher

4.0

These are not the circumstances under which I imagined reading this book, but c'est la vie. [b:Wishful Drinking|4961048|Wishful Drinking|Carrie Fisher|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1347698159s/4961048.jpg|5026857] is a wonderfully pellucid and hilarious account of Fisher's rather tumultuous existence. She was thrust into stardom at an age when most of us are worried about high-school crushes. She acknowledges as much, and it is the candid acknowledgement of her problems versus the things that merely inconvenienced her that makes this book such a moving experience. While it's not an essential read for every SW fanatic, I hope you give this one a chance.

And I truly do hope that our Princess-General Leia Organa finally found her peace.
