I had this on my TBR for ages, looked everywhere to find a copy, and I'm so disappointed. I got half way though before giving up and reading the rest of the plot via other reviews. Thank god I didn't waste any more time on it because even reading the synopsis it seemed incredibly anticlimactic. The first half I did read was unbelievably slow. This book needed serious editting, it's so badly bloated. This could have been 250 pages. There is so much unnecessary repetitive set up and constant retelling of the same events due to multiple narratives. It really tried at the start to sound likr it was setting up a deeply intriguing story, but it was 200 pages of bland. The plot moved like a snail and the characters were all so annoying, I just didn't want to hear from them any more. This is not a thriller, it's a drama, and even that's being generous. If you want psychological, tense and gripping, this is basically Winnie the Pooh.
