It is very rare that I come across a book that fundamentally changes who I am as a person. As a fan of the original tiktok series I thought I knew what to expect from this book. Boy was I wrong. This book blew me away and my soul is completely changed. The characters in this story are relatable, constantly changing, and most importantly feel alive! The smut is top notch and so so steamy. I loved every single aspect of the characters and the world and the story. The story is intriguing and full of incredible world building and has all the humor and heart of the tiktok videos. This book buried itself into my heart and I loved every second I spent reading it. Jaysea's writing puts you right in the middle of the story and you feel like you're there in the Afterlife. As someone with religious trauma, trauma in general, and thanataphobia, this book was incredibly healing and moving. I am chomping at the bit for book two in this series and am so excited to see what comes next!
