I really wanted to like this. I felt like the story had good bones, but I found most of the characters to be pretty unlikable, including the main character. I didn’t feel like the plot had good payoff and I was generally disappointed because I liked the concept. Some of the writing was very beautiful, but I felt like the book overall fell flat on emotional impact.
