I liked the premise of the book, the slowing of the Earth's rotation, but that's just a plot device. After finishing the book I still can't figure out what the plot was. I liked the language in the book, but I need more than pretty words and phrases. I think the concept could have driven a lovely short story, but in the form it is now I'm just left wondering why I spent my time reading the book.
