After vowing to never read another Colleen Hoover book due to simply hating the ones I read before, I decided to pick this one up after many months of consideration due to my best friend yelling at me to 'just try it!!!'. I can now happily say thank you Tamara for the recommendation, I was wrong in my judgement.
This book was gripping and very easy to read quickly, and I enjoyed guessing the twists and trajectory of the story. It reads like a retelling of The Yellow Wallpaper, but with more sex and intrigue.
Minus 1 star for more stupid character names and a lack of development for Lowen- I would've liked to hear more about her background and her motivations, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am considerably more amenable to reading another book by Ms Hoover.
