Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

This is the first book that’s kept me awake into the night reading for a long while. I’m not a gamer. Gamer-adjacent only; I’ve dabbled in video games through the aeons since 1983 when I tried one for the first time, so many of the mentioned titles were familiar. I found the insights into the game design world absolutely fascinating. But the real hook here is the characterisation. They’re all loveable even when demonstrating their worst sides to each other, even Dov, who seriously MUST be inspired by Adam Driver; I could see his weird looking face every time he spoke.
This is a book about a small group of people sharing passions and working together over many years. It’s not particularly plot driven. It is sometimes really sad. It’s a great read; highly recommended.
