Contrary to popular belief, I actually enjoyed this book much more than the first. I'm not sure why, but this one had me more hooked. I'm excited to read Onyx Storm next. I think Violet's character development has come a long way, as well as Xaden's. I'm also very interested to see what happens next with the possibility of

Xaden turning venin and Andarna's new found dragon type.
