Oh the conclusion of this duet was so good. We pick up exactly where we left off, and the tension just keeps increasing from there. This second book is as dark, twisted and spicy as the first one.

This is a story of revenge and of finally getting back what was taken from you no matter the cost. But obviously things don’t always go as planned…

Eden was not my favourite character in the first book, but honestly her character development was so well done. I was surprised to find myself rooting for her. Damien, I loved him in the first book & still do. Let’s not talk about Cain, I don't think I've ever hated a character as much as this one.

The last ten chapters gave me so much anxiety, it’s really this kind of moment when you know something is going to happen at any time, but you just hope for the best. (This story does have a HEA.)

This review might not be long, but the blurb for this duet was very vague, so I don’t want to spoil anything. This duet was my first read by this author. I loved the writing, I added the Complicated Hearts duet to my TBR.
