Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates

5.0

I'm a sucker for stories, fiction or nonfiction, about the Golden Age of Hollywood. So this was an easy 5 stars for me not just because of the genre, but the story told and the authors writing style.
While this is a fictionalized and simplified biography of Marilyn Monroe, it encompasses the real life of a Hollywood starlet in the 40s and 50s; specifically those who were labeled sexy.
