Saw the movie first and then borrowed the book from the library. The book makes more sense than the movie. The characters are, of course, fleshed out but their interactions make more sense too. The movie left too many questions unanswered for me. Of course Jamie Dornan makes any movie worth watching but in truth I'd stick with the book. It's worth reading, especially if you saw the movie first.
