I kept seeing this recommended on booktok so I gave it a read but this was not it for me! I enjoyed the writing style and the story was engaging but the age gap was not hot, just inappropriate and creepy.

the entire conflict is that Asher is angry at her for “selfishly” reporting that they made out when she was 14 and he was 18, which destroyed his plans and put him in an unsafe situation.


The entire book takes place when she is underage. This made me so uncomfortable as she isn’t old enough to give consent!! Their first sexual interaction is when she is 14 and he is 18. And it is mentioned so much that you cannot ignore it.


I may give some of Charleigh Rose’s other books a go because I liked her writing style, but I don’t suggest this one.
