A Simple Plan by Scott Smith

3.0

A slow burn, full of dread. You know something bad is going to happen, but it takes a while to get there. I hadn't seen the movie, so I didn't know exactly what to expect, and it was even grimmer than I'd imagined. Random thing that bugged me: the wife character takes her newborn with her to her job at the public library. Sorry, folks. Even in the 80s I can't imagine this happening. Totally took me out of the story.
