5.0

Strengths:
incredible character voice, realistic relationship dynamics, intentional and powerful vignettes, tension, emotion, Sanchez not only writes in the voice of a teenager but the writing style itself changes as the character gets older and gets better at writing - making you feel like you're reading this girl's real memoir/diary, very clever storytelling with plot twists and reveals

One of my top 5 young adult novels <3
