I felt this was much more gory than necessary and I could not find any redeeming qualities in the main character. It was sickening and upsetting beyond what I could have imagined. The graphic descriptions of animal cruelty really got to me - though I suppose I should have checked content warnings first.

I finished this book mainly to see how Marcos would end up (hoping that he would get what he deserved). The last page horrified me and just upset me further.

Overall, not a huge fan - just not my cup of tea.
