Harry and his team are tasked with investigating the death of a high profile attorney known for suing the Los Angeles Police Department. The investigation is fraught with politics and misdirection.
This is the first Harry Bosch book that did not end satisfactorily. We do find out who did the crime ultimately, but whether justice prevailed is questionable. But it was a typical Connelly gripping story with lots of twists and turns.
