Bloodline

The first modern Star Wars book I got into it and it's absolutely amazing. A lot has been discussed about Luke and Vader's relationship, so to have some of that attention be placed on Leia and Vader's relationship (and explicitly the lack thereof) was already a great enough premise. The book took it, ran with it, and expanded on so many great parts of Leia's character, especially during the time between the Original and Sequel series (this book is explicitly a 'tie-in' to The Force Awakens). The scenes with Han and Leia are bittersweet, especially in hindsight, but you can definitely tell these two people love each other and it just makes me wish all the more Leia/Carrie Fisher could have had more screentime in TFA and also the bittersweetness with the fact that Leia's story, with Carrie's death, won't ever truly be completed.
