Tucker never thought he would become a father at 22, but after finding out the Sabrina is pregnant, that's now his reality.
I'm going to start this by saying that two of my least favorite tropes are surprise pregnancy and miscommunication. Unfortunately, this book was a huge dose of both. So, that definitely skewed my thoughts about it.
I absolutely love Tucker, I think he's a fantastic character, but the plot just didn't do him justice. I was really excited to learn more about him, because we don't really know a lot about him. When he finds out about the pregnancy, he is there to support Sabrina every step of the way and gives her the space she needs to decide what she wants. He takes the time to understand what she needs and why she is the way she is. He is so compassionate and caring. Him as a father is absolutely adorable.
I have mixed feelings about Sabrina. I'm really glad she got a redemption Arc. She's not the psychotic bitch that we thought she was, she's just very insecure and her drive clouds everything else. Her home life sucks and all she wants to do is to get out of there, so she works her ass off to better herself. Her insecurities lead to so much miscommunication with Tucker. She doesn't believe that somebody can love her, so she closes herself off to that possibility.
I actually really liked Sabrina and Tucker together. I think they balanced each other out really well. Tucker really helps to keep Sabrina's insecurities in check, because he is so clear about what he wants. He lets her set pace of the relationship and doesn't push her past where she's comfortable, allowing her to catch up to where he already is.
As with this whole series, I love the group of friends and their dynamic together.
Tropes: accidental pregnancy, college, athlete/law student, forced proximity, secret relationship
