zschwartz92 's review for:
The Secret Commonwealth
by Philip Pullman
If you’ve ever been on a roller coaster and see the peak coming and you’re anticipating the excitement and thrill of the drop...that’s what this book is like except you never reach the drop and the incline just keeps going and going.
It’s hard to believe this is the same exciting world of His Dark Materials. The plots thickens but in a way that is like overcooking hollandaise sauce. I was begging for a release of all of the built up tension and am hopeful that it comes, but the book doesn’t stand alone and that made me sad.
