If you liked “The Ex Hex” this is for you! Second chance romance and a really cute animal familiar. Emma and Bastian overcome an emotional history to become friends then lovers in the present day. I received an arc from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Because I read an early copy of this book, I’m not sure if this will remain in the final copy but I felt that where there were weird gaps in backstory. I wanted to know how Emma and Leah met and became such good friends. I wanted to know more about her dad’s affair!? I kept reading thinking that I was missing a book before this one.
