To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee

This was pretty good, surprisingly. The beginning started off super slow to me and it wasn't really towards when the trial was close to starting that I got interested. I think that the reason for that was because I didn't have any connection to the characters and had no emotions for any of them. It took me a really long time to warm up to the story and the characters.

I feel like it was a lot of building up towards something that's going to happen, but not very eventful in itself. It was just tiring to read, sometimes. The fact that I had to read it for school also probably had a factor in my annoyance.

However, I think it was good; this is a kind of unique book that is about something anyone can write/make a story about yet you won't really be able to recreate it because it's so different.
