Very engaging, relatable, thought-provoking, and at times infuriating. Beautiful prose that was still accessible while adding some new words to my vocab! Fascinating premise that the author delivered on well. I loved getting to know these complicated, messy, people.
Some of the time jumps took me out of the story. Right as I was getting into the groove, the next chapter would be in a different point in time, and that made me disengage a bit. Some slight finagling of the order of chapters might’ve helped my reading experience.
Overall super strong read! Def check content warnings on this one
