Jumper: A Day in the Life of a Backyard Jumping Spider by Jessica Lanan

5.0

I have always had a fear of spiders, afraid they would jump on me... I have been working on not being afraid, learning to appreciate their little lives. After reading this, I think the spider is a actually pretty cool creature. Eight eyes seeing everything around them, hearing through the hairs all of their whole body and legs, being able to climb and jump with a silk safety-line. This picture book teaches all aspects of the spider by telling us about a day in the life of Jumper. I love the painted effect of the illustrations, love the open flaps of two pages to enlarge the reader's experience, and love the informational text in the back of the book!
