After reading the first book in this series I was eager to read the second and even more so when I realized that Mary was initially the mistress of the king. I found that I wanted to read more to find out how Anne ended up as the queen. But as it took chapters and chapters to get anywhere I got bored. Although I persevered and finished the book and found the ending to be quite good and captivating, the middle of the book was unnecessarily dragged out. I must say the first book I found much better than this one, and I would be reluctant to read any others in this series.
