Ghostopolis by Doug TenNapel

I once read this book as a young teen, and only recently saw it in the library, so why not give it a reread?
Unfortunately, the story didn’t hold up as much as I remembered, as I only remembered a few vague plot points instead of the story itself.

The plot bounces all over the place, and the world building just boils down to a set piece instead of an actualized, fleshed-out world.
Nothing of importance gets explained, and things that do get explained only left more confusing questions.

This would be fun as a middle-grade read I guess, but the story is very forgettable and nonsensical. There are other graphic novels with memorable stories and great art.
