Make sure you put me in a story someday.

Another utterly enchanting read, the kind that reinvigorates your love for fairy tales and erstwhile myths.

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon is one of my all-time favorite reads, and having put it on a pedestal for so long, I was nervous about When the Sea Turned Silver, but definitely was not disappointed. With a host of compelling new (and old!) characters, it was nostalgically delightful to see the myths and tall tales of old. While Lin's writing and structure is more elevated in this, I am slightly more inclined toward the overall plot and cohesiveness of its predecessor.

Overall, a lovely follow-up in an astoundingly picturesque universe! An absolute treasure trove.

I will never forget, and that is truly the only immortality that matters.
