SECOND READ (SEPT 2020)
I absolutely loved revisiting this story. The first time I read it I missed Avonlea, but I didn’t as much this time. I was loving spending time with Anne and Gilbert and all the other wonderful characters in Four winds!

Captain Jim, Miss Bryant and Leslie are such delightful characters. I loved all the scenes with them and Captain Jim is a particular favourite of mine. His life book is so special and so many scenes with him brought me too tears.

This one has some darker and more challenging scenes which gave substance to the story and showed the maturity of Anne and the other characters. I loved this book so much and am so glad I revisited it!

FIRST READ (MARCH 2019)
Another wonderful Anne story!
I loved the quirky and lovely characters that we met in this story, particularly Leslie and Captain Jim.
My only slight downside was that I missed Avonlea and all the characters from there.
This book was darker than the others and really shows Anne growing up into a strong young woman.
The ending made me cry (again), and I’m excited to read the next one to see what happens next in Anne’s and Gilbert’s lives.
