Koti met Ian for the first time when she was six years old and their families summered next door to each other in St. Thomas. While Ian was old, they spend the entire summer together. Koti mourned Ian when he left at the end of that summer. The next time she saw him, he was a shadow of a man. Scorned. Angry. Bitter. The angst was there even though they were slightly older. There was everything for the perfect storm. Friends to lovers. Age gap. Trauma. It was a book that @lifeofabookqueen and I devoured slowly because it was just so beautifully written that we didn’t want it to end.
