Season of the Witch
by Sarah Rees Brennan
This book was really interesting. I loved the first few seasons of the CAOS show, and this really expanded the world and characters for me.
It's always bothered me how Sabrina is supposed to be my age and is made out to be around 19 or so in appearance, and this book, despite the actor on the cover, very much behaved like a 15 year old girl. In this book she's younger than me, and that's honestly funny after seeing the show.
The writing was relatively strong but there were sentences like "Susie was sure Susie put the mirror somewhere" and I was annoyed with how often that happened.
Overall it was a quick read, wasn't as spooky as I wanted but was still pretty good. I'd say read this if you really like this world or just settle for the show
