This book was a slow start but it got better the more I read.

The writing, especially in the smut scenes took me a second to get used to. Towards the beginning of the book the writing is kind of cringe and uncomfy for my own tastes. As the relationship between the main characters develop, the smut writing does improve.

At first I found Dean's character incredibly unlikeable but as his character developed I changed my mind. He's not as strong a character as Garret or Logan but entertaining regardless.

Allie is an okay main character, had I not read the series in order I probably would have found her more captivating but in comparison to characters like Hannah, her writing is quite mediocre.

The book is okay, it certainly feels like a middle child in the series and is a lot less gripping than The Deal and I didn't find myself invested in the lead couple as I did with Garrett and Hannah.
