I bought this a long time ago & picked it up while trying to read the books that have been on my TBR for a long time. I have no idea what it was about going into it but between the cover & the title I expected a contemporary full a wonder. Maybe even bordering on magical realism or something? But no, this book was dark and just kept getting darker throughout.
I definitely would have DNFd if I had been reading this physically but as I was listening on audiobook I found it easy to keep listening. There was so many messed up things about this book and it really could have used a little hope. I though maybe when the grandmother appeared that something would come from her being in Rommily's life but nope, still dark.
I would recommend reading the triggers & some reviews before reading this one as if I had I would have known this was not a book for me.
