dark sad tense
This was a heavy, dark read. I think it was good, very well done, but not something I found enjoyable (not that every read has to be). Several parts of this made my stomach sour. I’m ashamed of what humans were capable and comfortable of doing to other humans. I’m ashamed that this happened legally in the county that I live in. Why the book discription called this funny is beyond me. I’ll add that watched a quick summary of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn on YouTube, since it’s been forever since reading it- I think it was helpful.
